Joining Peninsula Toastmasters Club
Membership is open to anybody wishing to improve his or her communication and leadership skills. The only requirement is that you need to be at least 18 years old to join. To find out more, attend one of our meetings and we will gladly assist you.
Fees
When you join the Peninsula Toastmasters Club there are certain costs that are involved. Note that while costs are given in American Dollars, these are converted into South African Rands amounts for members’ convenience, at current exchange rates.
Membership fee
Membership Fees are payable twice a year, in April and October. The basic membership fee is US$27 for the six-month period, pro rata. In effect this means that the membership fees work out as US$4.5 per month.
Joining fee
On joining Peninsula Toastmasters Club you will need to pay a once-off Joining Fee of US$20. This includes your registration as a member of the Toastmasters International organisation and the training manuals and materials you will need as you embark on your Toastmasters career. This is paid in addition to the Membership Fee above. You will also need to pay R50 for your Toastmasters badge.
Eg: If you join in October, your fees are (assuming an exchange rate of 7.5):
Membership Fee $27*7.5 R 200
Joining Fee $20*7.5 R 150
Badge R 50
TOTAL R 400
All fees will be accepted in cash or cheques made out to Peninsula Toastmasters Club. The exchange rate used will be the exchange rate at the time of the member joining the club.
Meeting costs
Peninsula Toastmasters Club has a charge of R40.00 per meeting. The cost covers the snacks enjoyed after the meeting.
